We have a few items of interest this week with the Worlds Fair of Money right around the corner.

It is after much debate with myself, that I have decided to sell my main Bust Quarter collection which contains my reference collection and many plate coins for my book "Early United States Quarters 1796-1838" published in 2008. Additionally, I have added a few Bust Quarter errors and counterstamps.
These are being sold by Stacks-Bowers in the ANA auction held the week after the show. Here is a link to the auction lots:
Stacks-Bowers will have lot viewing throughout the show as well. I encourage anyone who might be interested to view the coins in person, as the photos really do not do the coins justice.
I will also have a table at the show, table 1714, so feel free to come by with any questions you might have about Bust Quarters. Hope to see many of you at the show and at the Bust Quarter Collectors Society meeting on Wed. August 20th from 02:00 PM-03:00 PM, Room 204.

We are just 10 days away from the close of my 60th "Mail Bid" Sale. One-hundred lovely bust half-dollars are up for grabs. The sale is anchored by 50 pieces from the collection of Richard "Dick" Scorzafava. We lost Dick just after the close of last year's ANA Convention. Highlights of his collection are high grade examples of all 4 Red Book varieties of 1807 as well as choice AU and UNC examples of the popular 1823 broken, patched and ugly 3 half-dollars. Collectors are invited to view photos and descriptions here: https://www.sheridanscoins.com/inc_active-mb.php. The catalog is available for download here: https://www.sheridanscoins.com/inc_News.php.
On-line bidding is open and will continue until 6 PM CDT Wednesday August 20, when the auction closes. Lots may be previewed at my bourse tables in Oklahoma City, Tuesday and Wednesday, August 19-20. JR Newsletter readers not yet registered to bid will be given quick approval when they complete the short application, top right of the referenced web site pages.
Editor added: Sheridan’s tables are #1102 and #1104.
