Due to personal and professional reasons Winston Zack is not going to be able to assume the position of editor of the JR Journal.

That means that I will be taking care of it for the foreseeable future.

If anyone has been working on an article I would appreciate getting it soon.  We are behind schedule and then will have to have a quick turnaround for the next issue, the pre-ANA.  So, if I can not fit all the articles in this issue I will then have a start on the next which will include the Bust Quarter census.

Any articles or correspondence can be sent to me at the usual address, bkaroleff(at)yahoo.com

Also, if you have sent something in the near past and it has not appeared in the journal, please re-send it to me as it is lost at this point.  Sorry!

Thanks for your help and support in getting the journal back on schedule.

The provided pictures are of a 1806 B-10, R.4+ Quarter, that I just got back today, and now in a “Cleaned-VG Details” PCGS Gold Shield holder. The PCGS Gold Shield holder comes with the TruView picture from PCGS. For this coin the TruView photo is over exposed and doesn't look like the coin actually does in hand. The other two pictures showing the coin in the holder is what the coin really looks like. Have other members noticed that these Truview pictures sometimes don’t look like the actual coin?

The obverse has a nice cameo effect look, the 06B10 variety is pretty scarce, and this is a nice example!

(The coin is for sale on my website at this link, https://www.3centnickel.com/product/1806-b-10-r-4-25c-vg-detail-cleaned-pcgs-gold-shield/. Any JRCS member that wants this coin can email me, 3cnickel(at)gmail.com , and I will give them a discount)
