At the JRCS meeting at the ANA WFOM on August 20, 2025, JRCS officers for the upcoming year were elected. Two officers swapped their roles and responsibilities.
Dave Perkins was elected 2nd Vice President. Dave served as Treasurer for 23 years after the passing of Russell J. Logan in April 2002.
Steve Herrman was elected JRCS Treasurer. He was also re-elected Secretary. Steve is now the contact person for membership status questions & renewal.

Capped Bust Half Dollar Census information for R4 to R8 die marriages is being solicited for inclusion in Volume 35, Issue 3 of the John Reich Journal. Please send your full inventory listing (including ALL duplicates and die states) of R4 to R8 Capped Bust Half Dollar die marriages to Steve Herrman at herrman102 (at) aol.com by the end of September.
A template for reporting your census information is available at https://www.jrcs.org/jrcs_online_resources.php. The web page will appear. Then, click on "2025 R4 to R8 Capped Bust Half Dollar Census Template" to download the MS Excel template to your electronic device.
Note: The JRCS membership number of the submitter shall identify each of the top 15 collections. Duplicates will be counted and reported as part of the totals. Your personal census shall be kept strictly confidential, and shall not be used for any other purpose.

It is after much debate with myself, that I have decided to sell my main Bust Quarter collection which contains my reference collection and many plate coins for my book "Early United States Quarters 1796-1838" published in 2008. Additionally, I have added a few Bust Quarter errors and counterstamps.
These are being sold by Stacks-Bowers in the ANA auction held the week after the show. Here is a link to the auction lots:
Stacks-Bowers will have lot viewing throughout the show as well. I encourage anyone who might be interested to view the coins in person, as the photos really do not do the coins justice.

I will have Table 1126 at the upcoming ANA Convention in Oklahoma City. Assisting me will be Richard Meaney.
I plan to have Bust Dimes from the James Matthews Collection for Lot Viewing and study. Some of these Dimes will be on display in my cases while others will be stored in boxes due to having limited space so be sure to ask Richard or me if you’d like to see them.
