I do not own the Jackson. I do own the Perkins acquired in 1990 privately. 


I wonder if Perkins is related to Jacob Perkins or Dave Perkins.


I own many similarly superb engraved Seated Liberty coins but only this single bust half.

Alan Bricker wrote: An example of the very rare 1833 LM-5 half dime changed hands recently (see PCGS “TrueView”).


This example surfaced unattributed in 2005 and attracted spirited competition between Capped Bust Half Dime specialists when it appeared at that time. It was the fourth specimen of the die marriage to be identified, and has been off the market since. Recently, it was submitted to PCGS for encapsulation.


Congratulations to the new owner, an advanced specialist in Capped Bust Half Dimes, on acquiring this highly coveted rarity.
